Will you reset my own stones if I want?

Very much so. I will work with the client to create the piece they want. You will have ultimate say in the final design and give the go ahead on the stones to be used. You will also be able to view the piece at any stage in the manufacturing process should you wish any changes to be effected.

What materials do you specialise in?

Eighteen carat gold in all three colours (yellow, rose and white), precious stones and unusual semi-precious stones such as jade, lapis lazuli, morganite, rubellite and chalcedony.

Do you make things yourself?

No. Each jewel is constructed by a talented team of craftsmen which is consists of not just the jeweller but also specialists such as the polisher, engraver, stone setter and stone cutter. I supervise the piece at each stage of production to ensure the highest standards of quality control are maintained. The craftsmen are accustomed to meeting the highest criteria demanded by some of the biggest names in the jewellery industry.

Are your pieces one offs?

All commissioned pieces and all the Fantasy Pieces are unique and I will work closely with the client to execute a piece they are happy with. The client keeps the original, signed watercolour design of the piece they have commissioned. The Pret-a-Porter pieces are not one-offs.

What if I want a classic piece such as diamond studs or a traditional style engagement ring?

That is not a problem. I am used to sourcing stones for classic, timeless pieces to be set in the metal of your choice.

How quickly can you alter a piece of jewellery if it doesn't quite fit me?

That is not a problem. We can resize rings and alter the lengths of necklaces. The usual time is three working days.

How long does it take for a bespoke jewellery piece to be made?

It depends entirely on the complexity of the piece. The client must also take into account the amount of time it might take to arrive at a satisfactory design. We recommend six to eight weeks for each project, longer when approaching Christmas. New commissions will not be undertaken after the 15th November due to the extreme rush of Christmas.

What are your payment terms on bespoke jewellery?

On commissioned pieces a design consultation consists of a payment of a non-refundable deposit of £500. This amount will be deducted from the final price of the piece. On confirmation of manufacture a deposit of 50% is required with the balance to be paid on delivery. Jewellery will not be released until the funds have cleared in the account. Estimates and prices include VAT at 20%.  Once a bespoke piece of jewellery is completed and delivered, we are unable to offer exchanges or refunds on the piece.
